  • Make
  • Model
  • Year

Some personal information about you:

  • Your name
  • Your home address
  • Contact details

Can I get proof of insurance instantly to meet Amazon Flex’s requirements?

Yes. As soon as you’ve got your e-bike delivery insurance, Sundays will email you your policy documents. These need to be verified by the Amazon Flex team before you start delivering.

Do I need to call anyone, or is everything done online?

You don’t need to call anyone. You can get a quote, buy your e-bike delivery policy and manage your policy completely online in the Sundays customer portal.

No. Everything is done online through Sundays customer portal, which is available for mobile devices. You can log in anytime to view documents, update your payment details or request the cancellation of your policy.

I’ve made an insurance claim for my e-bike delivery activities before. Will this affect my cover?

Every policy is assessed individually, so you should include all the information requested during the quoting process.

Any gaps in your details might affect future claims, so if in doubt, let Sundays know.

What level of cover do I need?

If you aren’t sure, contact Sundays via email at deliveryrider@sundaysinsurance.co.uk, call 0203 884 9838, or chat via live chat.

Using my cover

What does the e-bike delivery policy cover?

The e-bike delivery cover will include third party liability cover with a limit of up to £1 million and personal accident cover with a limit of up to £3,000 if selected.

What is third party liability insurance?

Third party liability insurance is designed to cover claims made against you by members of the public for property damage and accidental bodily injury, illness or even death as a result of your work.

For example, you’re making a delivery on your e-bike with Amazon Flex, and you accidentally crash into another cyclist, causing them to break their arm. E-bike delivery cover could cover the legal and compensation costs.

What is personal accident insurance?

If you're making an Amazon Flex delivery on your bike, your policy provides cover in case you're injured in an accident during your period of cover, your policy will pay out — but only for one of the following outcomes, even if more than one happens in the same accident:
1. Death
2. Permanent blindness in one or both eyes
3. Loss of a limb
4. Permanent total disablement

Am I covered if I have an accident while on a delivery?

Broadly speaking, yes. E-bike delivery can cover a range of eventualities when you’re delivering with Amazon Flex on your e-bike, including injuries to yourself or others.

Personal accident insurance provides cover if you're injured in a cycling accident whilst making an Amazon Flex delivery. You’ll be covered for one benefit depending on the severity. That could include death, loss of sight, loss of a limb or permanent disablement.

If you accidentally injure someone or damage their property while cycling, third party liability policies provide compensation and legal costs.

While the e-bike delivery policy covers a number of situations and eventualities, there are always things that cannot be covered. Always refer to your policy documents to understand the full details around exclusions, terms and limits of your cover. Our guide to understanding your policy documents can be a useful starting point.

Does the insurance include my e-bike and my gear?

No, e-bike delivery cover does not cover theft or damage to your e-bike or bike accessories, like helmets, gloves or delivery equipment.

Is this policy valid for other delivery platforms as well, or just Amazon Flex?

No, this insurance only covers you to deliver for Amazon Flex while on an e-bike, and not for any other delivery platforms.

What’s the difference between third party liability and personal accident cover?

Third party liability insurance is designed to protect you if someone makes a claim against you for injury or damage to their property.

Personal accident insurance provides cover in the event of death or for certain injuries in a cycling accident. Please check your policy documents to understand what injuries or situations are covered, as there are always exclusions.

What if my e-bike is damaged in a road traffic accident with an uninsured driver?

With e-bike delivery cover, the e-bike itself isn’t covered. If you want insurance for your e-bike, you’ll have to find this cover elsewhere.

If you’ve selected personal accident insurance, you may be covered for certain injuries you sustain. These include:
1. Death
2. Permanent blindness in one or both eyes
3. Loss of a limb
4. Permanent total disablement

What happens at the end of my 12-month policy period?

Sundays will email you at least three weeks before renewal is due.

Payments

How much does the insurance cost?

E-bike delivery cover is a fixed cost for all delivery riders, depending on what cover you choose. This cover lasts for 12 months, and you will pay monthly.

The total cost of your insurance (also called the premium) includes Insurance Premium Tax (IPT), which is a mandatory tax paid on all insurance policies.

How do the payments work?

You can pay by monthly direct debit or card. This will be a regular amount based on the cover you’ve selected.

The recurring payments are interest-free, and there are no additional charges.

Are there any extra charges?

There are no hidden fees. The price you are given when you get your quote is what you’ll pay for the duration of your cover.

What happens if I miss a payment?

If you’ve missed a payment, you’ll get an email from Sundays. This will give you time to fix any payment issues you’re having before your cover is affected.

If you don’t pay the missed payment, your cover will end, and you won’t be able to deliver with Amazon Flex.

How do I update my payment details?

You can update your payment details by logging into the Sundays customer portal here.

Fees, cancellations and amendments

Can I cancel my policy anytime?

You can cancel at any time. Remember that Amazon requires you to have third-party liability cover and personal liability cover in place at all times if you make deliveries as part of the Amazon Flex Programme.

You can cancel your policy in the Sundays customer portal here.

Will I get a refund if I cancel early?

Sundays will give you a full refund if you cancel this policy within 14 days of the start date, but only if you have not had any claims for something that took place in this period.

After the first 14 days, you can cancel your policy at any time but you will not receive any refunds for premiums already paid.

If Sundays pay a claim, and you cancel your policy, then there is no refund due and you will still have to pay your monthly payments until the end of your policy term.

Are there any admin, cancellation or setup fees?

There are no admin, cancellation or setup fees.

Can Sundays cancel my policy?

Sundays may cancel your policy if you:
• Do not comply with the policy terms and conditions
• Do not pay your premium as agreed
• Make a fraudulent claim
• Misrepresented information when you entered into your policy

If Sundays pay a claim, and you cancel your policy, then there is no refund due and you will still have to pay your monthly payments until the end of your policy term.

Who should I contact if I want to cancel my policy?

If you want to cancel your policy, give Sundays a call on 0203 884 9838 or email them at deliveryrider@sundaysinsurance.co.uk, and one of their consultants will be happy to help.
