Chris Barclay, CEO
Chris is the Chief Executive Officer at Superscript.
He brings over 20 years of experience in insurance to his role, driving growth through strategic partnerships and commercial innovation. His deep industry knowledge is invaluable in tracking trends and identifying areas for change.
In his previous roles, Chris was the Managing Director at Marsh, leading their Affinity business and previously serving as the Sales Director for their SME Division in the UK. At Thistle Insurance, Chris was responsible for their Direct-to-Customer Niche Schemes and Direct business, which included overseeing the largest Caravan/Holiday Home Scheme in the UK. He was initially brought into Thistle to transform their claims proposition.
Now at Superscript, Chris is focused on transforming insurance with tech-driven solutions for the SME marketplace. His extensive touchpoints across the insurance landscape and keen eye for innovation help to steer Superscript’s growth and competitive edge in the industry.

Stephen Taylor, Head of Commercial
Stephen is the Head of Commercial at Superscript.
Stephen leads on executing Superscript’s commercial strategy, working closely with insurers to deliver a market leading proposition to our customers across all trading verticals.
A Chartered Insurance Risk Manager with a degree in Business Administration, Stephen has over 20 years of experience within the insurance industry, including times working at RSA and spending 14 years at Allianz Insurance.

Gail Kozlowski, Product Director
Gail is the Product Director at Superscript.
Gail brings significant experience driving product innovation, user experience and growth for brands in the financial technology and banking category, having previously held roles at Mastercard, Lloyds Banking Group and RBS.
Now at Superscript, Gail is at the forefront of our product innovation and multi-carrier approach working closely with our key strategic distribution and carrier partners.

Ben Rose, Chief Underwriting Officer
Ben is the co-founder and Chief Underwriting Officer at Superscript.
Ben has deep insurance market expertise 20 years of international insurance broking, risk management, underwriting and claims experience, specialising in media, technology and cyber risks and has been at the forefront of innovating insurance products for emerging risks. Previous claims authority at Allianz and Zurich, and delegated claims authority from Munich Re.
10 years ago, Ben co-founded Superscript. Since then the business has become the first UK-based insurtech to become a Lloyd's of London broker, is dual-regulated across Europe and has won multiple industry awards.

Ross Kirkpatrick, Distribution Lead
Ross is the Distribution lead at Superscript.
Ross has deep insurance market expertise, having spent a number of years at Marsh prior to joining Superscript.
As distribution lead, Ross is responsible for developing our strategic partnerships with key carriers to drive product breadth and underpin our unique multi-carrier approach to digital broking.

Derrick Smart, People and Talent Partner
Derrick is the People and Talent Partner at Superscript.
Derrick has nearly 20 years of recruitment experience in the insurance market, placing insurance professionals across all levels having previously held the role of associate director'
