Superscript named Schemes Broker of the Year

We are thrilled to announce that Superscript have been awarded gold at the 2024 Insurance Times Awards for Schemes Broker of the Year.

As a finalist in four categories, the Superscript team were honoured to attend the awards ceremony. The event brought together nearly 1,000 of the great and good of the insurance industry in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Award-winning broking

The category, Schemes Broker of the Year, seeks to recognise entrepreneurial insurance brokers in either commercial or personal lines that have created a new scheme, or excelled at schemes business, over the last year.

Back in November Christopher Barclay, Chief Commercial Officer at Superscript, spoke to Insurance Times about how schemes can transform brokers into ‘trusted advisors’ for UK SMEs.

Broker schemes can offer cover that goes beyond traditional insurance products, emphasising a relationship driven approach rather than a purely transactional one.

This means brokers serve not only as product providers, but as trusted advisors. By adopting this dual role, brokers can deliver the value that SMEs require.

Announcing the award, which was sponsored by Hiscox, the judges noted:

Superscript are trying to find schemes for the new world and trying to find different ways of creating insurance for those people, which we find really interesting.

This is something that the industry has to do. Superscript is a broker that has innovation and gave a strong presentation.
